Our Mission: Disciples Who Make Disciples, Churches That Plant Churches
At City of Refuge, we are passionate about fulfilling the Great Commission by making disciples who make disciples, and planting churches that plant more churches.
Our strategy begins with intentional outreach and community events, designed to connect with those in our target areas who are seeking truth and hope. From there, we focus on relational discipleship—meeting one-on-one, gathering in house groups and small groups, and walking alongside people as they grow in their faith.
As disciples mature, we expect this process to multiply—each new believer becoming a disciple-maker themselves.
We are also deeply committed to church planting and missions. City of Refuge will actively support church planters and missionaries, while equipping and empowering individuals within our own congregation to step out and plant new churches both locally and globally.
The heart of City of Refuge is to GO—to live as an outward-focused body of believers, committed to sharing the message of Jesus with everyone, everywhere.

Send Off Service
Join us for a special “send off” service from our sending church, Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church.
COR Team Celebration
Happy New Year! Let’s celebrate together and welcome in the New Year with our COR family. Join us for fun and fellowship and of course food. We can’t wait to pray as a unified body over the future year of exciting things God will do through COR.
Weekly Wednesday night house services begin
We believe scripture paints a beautiful picture of early churches meeting together in each others homes, where they shared a meal and studied Gods Word together as a unified body. The plan is for these types of meetings to become a regular part of who we are as a church.
Sunday soft launch services begin
This will be the first Sunday service of COR. It’s a “soft launch”, which means we are working to finetune our equipment and service styles. Simply put, this is a practice service, everyone is still welcome to attend.
LAUNCH DAY!
This is an exciting day! Our target date for City of Refuge to officially launch is March 22, 2026! All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
